Interested in the latest food news, concerns, fads, and want to follow the conversation? Go to The Blog. Have a food question not answered by exploring Exhibits? Go to ASK The FOOD Museum.

But first, what exactly is a Blog and how can I participate in it?

What is a Blog?

Blog is short for web log. It's an interactive online journal, with the most recent entry on top.

Why a Blog?

The Blog is where you can go for the latest, up-to-date food news on a range of subjects. The Blog allows you not only to stay informed on a daily basis, but also to participate in discussions with other visitors to the website, and with The FOOD Museum people.

How does it work?

First, The FOOD Museum or its guest contributors post statements, news reports, dispatches from the food front on the Blog. Each official post is called an entry. As you read an entry, you may find some words or phrases are underscored. You may click on these for links to more information. You can read these entries and move on. Or, if you like, you may join in the conversation. Go to the end of each entry and click on Comments.

Clicking on Comments opens what is known as a “thread,” a place where a string of comments from many people appears. You will see an empty box. Above it, you are invited to type in a name-you can use any name you want, and change it any time. Next, your email address. This must be genuine. Then as an option, you may also type in a URL to a website that relates to the discussion. Once your blog post has registered on line, a visitor to the Blog can click on your name and be taken directly to that website. To comment, simply write your remarks in the empty box.

You may click on Preview to check what you wrote and edit your post if necessary. Or you can click on Post and your comment will appear almost immediately on the Blog thread.
