Industrial Use

Potatoes have thousands of uses beyond food. Potato starch is an important ingredient in many industrial applications, especially the pharmaceutical, paper, petroleum and plastics industries. Much of the world's potato starch and starch research is supplied by AVEBE, a global company based in The Netherlands. This biodegradable golf tee is made from potato starch.
