Shrimp were once consumed only in areas near where they were caught.
They were shipped elsewhere and served for special occasions. Now they
are an international trade item and farmed in huge operations in such
places as Ecuador, Thailand and Hong Kong. Shrimp are now America's
favorite shellfish. They come in two basic types, warm and cold water
